As a Solutions Architect with Sandia National Laboratories from 2012 to 2022, I was responsible for leading teams in the EPPIC and Oracle DB departments. My role included research and design of satellite ground stations, as well as maintenance and operations of new and legacy systems. I am certified in Agile SCRUM/Kanban and served as a Scrum Master. Additionally, I provided incident support using ITSM/ARS (CRM) systems.

My experience with configuration management and scripting includes Linux (bash, sh), Ansible, Git, VMWare Weasel, and Python. I administered RHEL(4,5,6,7), Windows (7, 8, 10, 12, 16), and MacOS servers and desktops, as well as hardware from Dell, Intel, Cisco UCS/Nexus, Brocade, HP, IBM, Sun, and VMs. I was well-versed in services such as NFS/CIFS/SAMBA, AutoFS, through NTFS/EXT/XFS/ZFS, and managed SAN storage clusters including Sun Storage, NexSan, and NetApp.

I was responsible for administering backup systems on Legato Networker, Bakbone/Quest, as well as VMware ESXi clusters with vCenter (VMware weasel deployment with vlan tagging). Additionally, I managed a department budget of $1.3 million.

As an Information System Security Officer (ISSO), I maintained a DOE-Q Clearance (DOD – Top Secret equivalent) and held a Security+ certification. My experience included vulnerability remediation and security management, such as system hardening (DISA STIGs), log management (Splunk), and the use of security tools such as McAfee, Symantec, Nessus, SCCM, Shavlik, and SCAP. I was responsible for maintaining security plans and ensuring cyber security compliance. I worked within vault type facilities and was responsible for patching servers to keep systems up to date and secure, as well as reviewing and managing security logs.
