As a computer systems analyst at GAITS, I worked with the Special Projects department at Sandia National Laboratories. My time there was split between two teams: the Red Rover team and the 5300 ESS LAN team. During my time with the Red Rover team, I focused on policy and procedure documentation and was responsible for the setup and maintenance of Thin Client, Diskless, and Disk Full classified systems.

With the 5300 ESS LAN team, I built and maintained Windows and Linux servers using a variety of hardware including Dell, Cisco UCS, HP, Sun, and VMs. I also implemented backend SAN storage solutions from NetApp and Nexsan and worked as a VMware ESX Server Administrator. Additionally, I provided desktop support for Windows XP, Windows 7, RedHat, and Mac Clients.

As a computer systems analyst, I took security very seriously and maintained a DOE-Q clearance while working within secure vault facilities. I also made sure to keep all production servers up-to-date and secure by maintaining a patch server. Overall, my time at GAITS as a computer systems analyst was challenging and rewarding, and I learned a lot about managing complex systems in a secure environment.
